New Jersey Punk Rock Flea Market Vendor FAQ and Artist Agreement

The New Jersey Punk Rock Flea Market hosts several events each year New Jersey. Our events welcome hundreds of vendors from around the country and Canada, selling everything from original art, vintage goods, vinyl, independent clothing, taxidermy, oddities, curiosities, and all sorts of strange and wonderful finds.

We regularly receive 400+ vendor applications per event weekend and accept a wide range of exhibitors including artists, makers, vintage sellers, record labels, authors, bands, crafters, and independent businesses.

If you’d like to be part of our ever-growing list of valiant vendors, please read the information below carefully.

WHO CAN APPLY
Individuals, small businesses, artists, crafters, makers, vintage and antique sellers, authors, bands, record labels, and other independent businesses may apply to exhibit.

We do not accept informational-only tables, direct sales businesses of any kind, or large corporate vendors that are not the right fit for the event. This includes companies and representatives such as Amway, Herbalife, Scentsy, Pampered Chef, LuLaRoe, Avon, Bath Fitter, Jamberry Nails, Origami Owl, and similar brands.

We reserve the right to reject any vendor for any reason. If you register and are later determined not to be a fit for the event, your registration will be canceled and your payment refunded minus a 25 percent processing fee.

HOW TO APPLY
Exhibitor and artist applications generally open several months in advance of each event. We announce application openings through our Vendor Mailing List, Vendor Facebook Group, and social media.

All exhibitors must first apply and wait for an Acceptance, Denial, or Waitlist offer before moving on to registration and payment. All payments must be made online and in advance of the event. We do not reserve spaces.

Acceptance emails are sent through Leap Events.

If vendor spaces sell out, they are sold out. If that happens, we will create a waiting list for vendors still hoping to participate.

WHAT MAKES YOU A GOOD FIT
We do not accept every vendor, but we do accept most. In general, if you are a small business, maker, artist, vintage or antique seller, or other independent seller with merchandise that fits the spirit of the event, there’s a good chance you may be a fit.

When you apply, you are applying to sell within a specific product category. If that changes later, you may need additional approval. We do not need or want to hyper-monitor every item you sell, but if you applied under one category and later shift into another, or begin selling in a way that materially changes your offering, you must contact us at least 30 days in advance at trentonpunkrockfleamarket@gmail.com.

You are also required to include photos of your setup and products, along with your website and social media links, during the application and registration process.

CAN I VEND BOTH DAYS?
If the event is two days, yes, you may register for both days.

HOW MUCH DOES IT COST TO VEND?
Table and booth pricing varies by event. Please refer to the specific event application page for current pricing and availability.

STATE OF NEW JERSEY REGISTRATION
You do not need to be registered with the State of New Jersey in order to vend with us. However, any vendor selling in the State of NJ should be properly registered as a business with the state, and the NJPRFM is not exempt from that expectation.

During registration, you will be asked for your Sales Tax ID number. If you are not registered with the state, you will be asked to provide the last four digits of your SS# instead.

FOOD VENDORS & HEALTH PERMITS
Yes, you may sell prepackaged food, but it requires a local Health Permit. Once approved to vend, you may register and pay for that permit through the event registration process. We will file for the permit on your behalf.

Permit pricing varies by event and municipality, but it is usually around $85 per day. You must purchase a permit for each day you are vending. If you are selling food and do not purchase the required permit, we will contact you and require that it be addressed immediately.

TATTOO ARTISTS
We will file for the local health permit on your behalf, but you are 100 percent responsible for passing local health inspection.

Individual tattoo artists must provide current liability insurance and current BBP Certification. If you are unable to vend because you fail inspection or do not provide the required documentation, your vending fee and table will be forfeited.

PROHIBITED VENDORS & PROHIBITED ITEMS
The NJPRFM does not allow informational-only booths.

We do not accept vendors selling THC products, cannabis products, tobacco products, alcoholic products, weapons of any kind, or illegal substances. This includes firearms, knives, swords, and similar items, whether real or 3D printed.

Also prohibited are blatant pornography, minstrel art, items featuring rebel flags, Nazi-related materials, anti-Semitic materials, and any racist, sexist, xenophobic, homophobic, heterosexist, or transphobic materials.

We do not allow MAGA, Trump, Blue Line, or other politically branded, politically motivated, or weaponized slogan-based merchandise. If you want to sell those kinds of items, this is not the expo for you.

This policy also applies to banned political clothing, hats, and accessories worn by vendors while exhibiting. If you are present and vending while wearing prohibited items, you will be asked to remove them. Failure to comply may result in cancellation of your table, forfeiture of your fees, removal from the event, and a ban from future shows.

The New Jersey Punk Rock Flea Market has spent more than a decade building a safe and inclusive space for exhibitors and attendees. We take this very seriously, and we ask you to do the same.

AI ART
The NJPRFM does not allow AI-generated artwork under any circumstance. If you are found exhibiting or selling AI-generated artwork, you will be ejected from the event and will forfeit your table or booth fees. Zero exceptions.

3D PRINTED ART
NJPRFM strongly prefers the sale of original, artist-created 3D printed designs. The reproduction or resale of public-domain files, mass-distributed templates, or widely available online designs is discouraged.

Vendors found to be overwhelmingly relying on public templates, reproduced designs, or non-original files may forfeit their vending space without refund.

TEMU / ALIBABA / MASS-PRODUCED STOLEN ART
Far too many vendors are selling enamel pins, stickers, and other goods purchased from Temu, Alibaba, and similar sites, much of which is stolen artwork. In some cases, that art has been stolen directly from our own vendors.

If you are found carrying mass-produced artwork or products purchased from Temu, Alibaba, or similar wholesale platforms, you will be ejected from the event and will forfeit your table or booth fees. Zero exceptions.

REFUNDS, TRANSFERS & NO-SHOWS
The NJPRFM does not offer refunds once you register for an event. If you cancel your booth or table, or no-show, your vending fee is forfeited.

If you are unable to make the event and would like to transfer your booth to another vendor, please contact us and we will work with you if possible. If you request a transfer to a future event at least 30 days in advance, we may honor your registration and carry it forward to another event for up to one year from the original event date.

Requests made 30 days or less before the event may not be honored. As a general rule, we do not provide refunds or transfers within 30 days of an event.

If an event is postponed due to weather or another act of God, transfers to a future event will be provided, but refunds will not.

SUBLEASING YOUR SPACE
The NJPRFM is a curated event and we do not allow the resale, transfer, or subleasing of tables or booths without our involvement and approval.

If you are found to have subleased your space to another vendor without permission, you or the vendor occupying that space may be ejected from the event and all fees will be forfeited. Zero exceptions.

SHARING SPACE
Sharing booths or tables is not encouraged. Because all exhibitors must be approved individually, we generally do not allow shared spaces.

We are happy to do our best to honor placement requests if you and a friend would like your own approved tables or booths next to one another.

LOAD-IN, SETUP & STAYING FOR THE FULL EVENT
All exhibitors must be loaded in by the times specified in their load-in emails. Those times are assigned for a reason, so please do your best to follow them.

If you are running late, contact us immediately using the day-of contact information included in the load-in email sent approximately 1 to 2 weeks before the event. We do not accept vendors after the event has started. If you do not provide notice and arrive too late to load in, you will forfeit your vending fee.

By registering for the NJPRFM, you agree to vend until doors close. You may not pack up or leave early. If you do, you may forfeit your vending fee and risk being banned from future shows.

If you are experiencing an issue that requires you to leave immediately, please visit the show runners booth and speak with a staff member. We will never stop someone from leaving, but if there is an emergency, we may be able to help get you out more quickly and navigate security, parking, or other logistics.

BOOTH RULES
No open flames or lit candles or incense are allowed. You are welcome to sell candles and incense, but you may not burn them at the event.

No indoor tents or canopies are allowed. You may use the empty frame only, but not the canopy cover.

MARKETING, PROMOTION & SOCIAL MEDIA
We use our Email List and our Vendor Facebook Group to communicate with vendors. If you would like to vend with the NJPRFM family of events, you should strongly consider signing up for one or both. You must be on, and remain on, our email list to receive event updates once you have registered.

All registered exhibitors may receive free flyers and posters, if available. We ask that you respect other promoters’ rules regarding flyer distribution, but if you are able to help promote our event at your upcoming shows and everyone is cool with it, we’d love that.

You are welcome to promote your own upcoming shows at our events, although it must be done tastefully. Flyers must not be larger than 5x8. Posters promoting outside events are not allowed.

We also provide approved social media marketing assets to registered exhibitors. Please use those materials and tag us on social media when promoting. We regularly post about artists, micro-events, food trucks, and more tied to each edition of our events, so please follow our social channels as well.

Please do not create competing social media events, including Facebook events, for NJPRFM shows. It confuses attendees and interferes with the proper flow of event information. Please use official event links only. If you create a competing event, we will ask you to take it down.

COMMUNICATION
Please make sure your email address is spelled correctly on both your application and registration form. Email is how we communicate with exhibitors, including approvals, registration, load-in instructions, and event details.

Load-in details are typically sent approximately 1 to 2 weeks before the event date to the email address used during registration. Anyone who has vended with us before knows we are methodical about load-in details, so please read those emails thoroughly and carefully.

For all vending-related questions, email trentonpunkrockfleamarket@gmail.com. Personal social media messages regarding vending questions may be ignored.

PHOTOGRAPHY, VIDEO & PROMOTIONAL USE
By registering, you agree to allow the NJPRFM to take and use photographs, video, and recordings of your booth, table, products, or person for promotional purposes including print and digital advertising, brochures, postcards, flyers, websites, social media, and other marketing materials.

PROFIT, LIABILITY & INDEMNIFICATION
You agree not to hold True North Event Syndicate, LLC, the New Jersey Punk Rock Flea Market its partners, staff, or ownership responsible if you do not make a profit.

You also agree to fully indemnify, defend, and hold harmless True North Event Syndicate, LLC, the New Jersey Punk Rock Flea Market, its officers, personnel, owners, agents, employees, volunteers, invitees, and contractors from any and all lawsuits, claims, demands, liabilities, causes of action, losses, injuries, and damages of any kind, including but not limited to property damage, monetary loss, personal injury, wrongful death, and equitable relief, along with all related legal fees, penalties, judgments, and costs.

FINAL AGREEMENT
By registering for the NJPRFM, you agree to all terms of this Vendor & Artist Agreement.
